Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling  (Integrative)

Integrative counselling is a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements.

We use Petruska Clarkson’s Integrative counselling framework, which is the Five Relationships between the therapist and client.

These are, The Working Alliance, The Transferential, The Emotional reparative, The Person to Person and The Transpersonal.

This frame work allows you to meet the needs of your client and gives you a strong underpinning to your work. It relies heavily on the ‘Core Conditions’ of Carl Rogers and sits well with Gestalt and Existential.

It is clear that the Integrative approach to counselling is different than eclecticism. Eclecticism is said to be about the process of `selecting out` and also more about taking something apart while Integration is more about `bringing together.

The course will be demanding in time, finances and personal development.  It will be delivered over a period of 2 years by a team of experienced, committed counselling and practicing tutors who will support you throughout the programme.
